Live Status Checklist Before Matchmaking
Six quick checks — product label, forum notes, file source, Windows, overlays, and profiles — before you queue.
Discussione
Before I queue I look at six things: the label on the status page, the newest forum note, whether the file came from the delivery mail, Windows still updated, overlays I don't need closed, and the profile I actually saved.
None of that is exciting. It stopped me queueing on a night the label said Updating.
bolt
i skipped the label once. menu was quiet and i blamed the install. status had already said updating. embarrassing.
ren
file source matters. if it did not come with the order mail, i don't open it. discord zips are how people get burned.
drift
overlays were my stutter. discord, a stat app, and the menu. closed the extras. game felt normal again.
cypher
profiles: i had two and loaded the loud one into a faceit lobby. checklist is annoying and i still do it.
kira
windows update mid session is its own failure. i let that finish before i care what the menu is doing.
