Start With the Keyboard
On many laptops and compact keyboards the Insert key shares a position with another key and is only reachable through a function layer. Check whether Fn lock is on, or try holding Fn while pressing the key. This single step solves a large share of reports.
Test the key somewhere harmless, such as a text editor or an online keyboard tester. If the system does not see the key at all, the issue is with the keyboard or its software, not with the game or anything you added.
Confirm the Game Window Has Focus
Key presses only reach a game that is the active window. If a chat app, a browser pop-up, or a system notification has stolen focus, the keystroke goes elsewhere. Click inside the game, wait a second, and try again.
Also check how the game is displayed. Fullscreen, windowed, and borderless modes behave differently with overlays. If the menu fails to appear in one mode, try another after a quick restart of the game.
Check What Is Already Running
A stale process from an earlier attempt can block a fresh launch. Open the task manager and look for leftovers from previous sessions. Close those, then start again in a clean order: system ready, game running, then the next step from your delivery message.

Look at the Status Label

If the status says updating, the right move is to wait. Launching repeatedly during an update does not help and can make support logs harder to read.
Check System Health Without Weakening It
Review your system using the Windows Pre-Launch Checklist. Make sure Windows is up to date, drivers are current, and no conflicting overlays are running. Keep your normal security software active throughout.
Do not turn off protection as a troubleshooting step. If your security software flags something, stop, do not override it, and contact support with the exact name of the file and the message you saw so someone can review it with you.
